Biceps

Upper Arm (Front)

Difficulty

advanced

Max Volume

1.0ml

Needle Gauge

25-27G

Needle Length

0.5-1"

Description

The biceps can technically be used for injections but is generally not recommended due to limited muscle mass, high PIP risk, and proximity to nerves and vessels.

PIP Likelihood:

Injection Technique

1. Locate the thickest part of the biceps belly
2. Relax the arm completely
3. Clean the area
4. Insert at 90-degree angle into the muscle belly
5. Aspirate carefully
6. Inject very slowly
7. Withdraw and apply pressure

Rotation Schedule

Not recommended for regular rotation. If used, allow 10-14 days between injections.

Common Mistakes

Using too large a volume, not relaxing the muscle, injecting near the elbow crease (brachial artery/median nerve).

⚠️ Nerve & Safety Warnings

Brachial artery, median nerve, and radial nerve are all nearby. This site has significant anatomical risk.
